What Breaks, and Who Could Fix It

What breaks

Anything thin, stacked, low-k or with a narrow street eventually forces the move. Memory and image sensors are already there, and automotive power is heading there.

Who could fix it

An Indian firm can build genuine recipe expertise and sell it as a service to plants that own the tool. That is a people business, not a capital one.

Only a minority of packages need it today, so a plant can ramp on blade dicing and add this capability later without redesigning the line.

A plant without it is structurally locked out of the higher-margin advanced-package work, which is exactly the work an ATMP investment is supposed to grow into.
